Le bonheur de chacun

Théâtre du Portage, a company in residence at Salle Fred-Barry, stages a Quebec-set adaptation of Boris Vian's surreal novel L'écume des jours. Wealthy worker Colin falls deeply in love with Chloé, but her illness, caused by a water lily growing in her right lung, strains their life together. Their days turn swampy as they spend heavily on remedy flowers while a workplace indifferent to personal happiness presses on. The show runs from 20 October to 7 November 2026 at Théâtre Denise-Pelletier in Montreal.
