Estadio do Maracanã is a iconic football (soccer) stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a capacity of approximately 78,000, and is one of the most famous and historically significant sports venues in the world, having hosted the 1950 FIFA World Cup final and the 2014 World Cup final, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2016 Olympic Games.
